"ConfusedConnie" emailed me with her interesting, but not uncommon situation. She writes...
"Is oral sex real sex or not? What I mean is, if I give my boyfriend a blowjob, will I still be a virgin? I promised my Mom that I'd stay a virgin and won't have sex until I'm 17 or 18 because she's paranoid about me falling pregnant.
I love my boyfriend and he says if I give him oral sex, he'll never ask me for full sex. What should I do?"
OK... I guess the first thing that struck me was that you're so busy trying to keep everyone else happy that you've overlooked the most important person, YOU.
Full credit to you for taking everone's needs and feelings into consideration but what you need to decide is... What do YOU want?
Your Mom's concerns are valid but your boyfriend is using emotional blackmail to get what HE wants. (Don't be too harsh on him though - lots of young men use the same tactics as their hormones take control). 
Mark my words, even if you agree to giving him oral sex he'll soon start wanting more. Using the same logic, anal sex isn't "real sex" either. Are you ready to give him that too?
