It seems to me that common sense is just not... common. Fortunately the U.S. city of Cleveland has shown great common sense recently after it was discovered that the city's new chief of regional economic development had resigned from a previous job over a charge of soliciting a prostitute.
In 1999 while he was the director of economic development in Oakland, California, he'd agreed to pay a woman $10 for an oral sex act, but the woman turned out to be a police decoy.
In a display of profound common sense, Cleveland's Mayor Frank Jackson said "In spite of all the difficulties that he's had in the past, he is still the right person for the job," Jackson said. "He can get the job done."
