I must be getting old... A friend was telling me that in "modern" lingo "brain" is a reference to oral sex.
Fortunately I'm not the only one who didn't know this as the transit bosses in New York City didn't work it out until after 200 buses were plastered with posters saying, "Read Books, Get Brain." In other words, pick up a book and you'll get oral sex. (How's that for great motivation?)
The oral sex ads were created by Akademiks, a cutting-edge hip-hop clothing label. One of them features a suggestively posed woman in nothing but panties, high heels and a sweater with a book in her hands... which she isn't reading.
In another ad, a guy's sitting on a pile of books while a scantily clad woman perches seductively on his lap. It, too, has the slogan, "Read books. Get brain."
There are six ads altogether, and once the Metropolitan Transit Authority caught on to the coded street language, officials started tearing the posters off buses.
Until last week, bus shelters in Philadelphia and other major cities, also carried the posters, but the advertising company that controls that space has since removed them.
Personally I don't have any problem with these type of oral sex ads. After all, anything that gets people thinking about blowjobs has GOT to be a good thing, RIGHT?
